Hi,
The solution is a general business expense ("BOE") disability policy. This covers the cost of running the practice and ensures that you do not have to use personal assets to pay business expenses if you become disabled. You pay a monthly benefit for the practice afloat so you can recover.
The following are some of the business overheads are covered by insurance BOE:
Rent or mortgage
Salaries and employee benefits
Utility bills
Property Taxes
Administrative expenses, legal fees and professional fees
Malpractice insurance premiums and other business
Maintenance and Cleaning Services
Depreciation
Interest on business debts
Office supplies
Other fixed costs that are ordinary, necessary, and tax deductible
