I sold an item on Ebay. I shipped the item through USPS with a tracking number. It has been 14 days and the tracking information still says that the package is stuck in NC somewhere. I believe USPS has lost the package. When the buyer purchased the item from me, I gave them the option of purchasing insurance on their package in case it was lost or stolen and they declined. Can they still file a chargeback against me and get their money back even though I have a tracking number that proves I shipped their item?

I don't believe they can file a charge back on you since you do have a tracking number.

Ive had this happen before to as long as you show proof i.e tracking number receipt from sending it etc they cant do anything you did your part to get it mailed the rest is out of your control
