Default Where is the best place to get earthquake insurance quotes?

I live in Seattle, WA and I currently do not have earthquake coverage. I don't know what carriers provide earthquake coverage, and I don't know if I need to also get homeowners coverage from the same carrier.

It will usually be cheaper to buy bundled. Find a homeowners insurance carrier with quake coverage. Here is a good directory to start: http://www.insuremyhouse.com

Who do you have your property insurance with. That would be the first place I would go. Usually it is added as a rider to a property policy. If you don't currently have homeowners insurance, you'll probably have to purchase that at the same time. Shop around different independent agencies in your area. They have access to different companies.
Be aware, a number of companies are stopping offering earthquake coverage because of the number of natural disasters lately. They want the federal government to come out with national disaster insurance like they have for floods.

You should try to get bundled coverage with your current home owners insurance provider. It is typically cheaper this way.

Ive just found out from an article that you do not automatically get earthquake insurance.
Possibly the most important thing to know about earthquake insurance is this: A basic homeowners policy does not cover earthquake damage. Even if you don?t live in an area where earthquakes are common, it?s possible you might need earthquake insurance.

Usually BCAA is the best place to get answers in Canada. Or call your regular insurance company, or go through your local phone book and call a few other insurance agents.

Also, maybe search on the Internet "best earthquake insurance rates for homeowners"
