Default Can I claim damages from the Noreasters to my property that neither Wind or Flood ins

I had severe damage to my retaining wall that I had installed 4 years ago to give more protection to my seawall.

I suggest you ask this question of your insurance provider. All policies are different.

If you can itemize, then you can claim the casualty as an itemized deduction. There are some additional limitations that you must apply, such as a $100 deduction from the total loss and then a 10% of AGI deduction before the final 'allowable' amount is determined.

It is possible that you may not have anything left to deduct if your AGI is substantial.

Maybe, IF you itemize, as a casualty loss. There are various limitations on claiming casualty losses - see instructions for schedule A.

If you don't itemize, no.

Default flood coverage retaining walls

Under FEMA flood insurance retaining walls are not covered, you probably already know this. Some home insurance policies do cover retaining walls at a depreciated value, however if your retaining wall was damaged due to a flood (rising water, surface waters etc..) they may protect themselves behind their contract exclusions and deny payment.
