Default best insurance group in the UK for under 21?

Hi,I was just wondering if anyone knew the best insurance group in the UK for a driver whose is under 21.My fiancee is looking at a 1.1 Fiesta Zetec and is wanting 3rd party pinch and burn but everywhere is quoting friggin'thousands.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers!

Try admiral they were good for me when I was under 21 and I had a 1.6. Or try compare.com

There are a number of factors that rate ur insurance quote not just the car( although thats a big part )try going for a bog standard model like lx rather than zetec. What also is considered is where you live, whether there is a more experienced driver on the policy, where the vehicle is kept overnight (more secure the better) Also brand new cars tend to carry high premiums so maybe go for an older car with value lower than £4000 for the time being until she earns NCB. doing the pass plus will also bring down her premium.

So you have just passed your driving test and you are looking for car insurance that covers under 21s. So Why is it so expensive for under 21's? Some of the reasons are below from the top UK insurer:
More than 14 young drivers and their passengers are killed every week in Britain
Male drivers aged 17 - 20 are almost 10 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured behind the wheel, than men aged 40 - 59.
1 in 3 young drivers admits to overtaking when they cannot see what's coming the other way, compared with 1 in 10 older drivers.
