Default What is my next step to try and get Health Insurance in North Carolina? I suffer with

I'm a resident of Charlotte North Carolina and have been denied individual health insurance by blue cross/blue shield because I suffer from depression. I do not work for a company that offers health insurance. I have spent the last few years going back to the country I was born in to see my doctor and get my antidepressants, however I live in fear everyday that I will have to be hospitalized with my depression or another ailment and will not have the money to pay the bills. I came to the US for a better quality of life as America is the land of hope and opportunity but find I cannot live with this fear any longer. Is there anyone out there that knows where to guide me next. I really want health Insurance for a peace of mind and would like to start seeing a doctor in the US besides having to go back to Europe every 6 months to get my repeat prescription. I earn $25,000 - $30,000 a year. I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks, Mary
Thank you for your answers but I still cannot get the info I need. I cannot change companies because I'm self employed and take any jobs I can get and have no educational qualifications except for a GED I did when I came to USA.

When it comes to health care the US is the worst country in the world..... really your only option is to find a company that offers health coverage and change jobs..... Land of hope and opportunity my ass..... opportunity for insurance companies, doctors, hospitals, etc..... certainly not a good place for anyone who ever gets sick.

Individual or Family Health Plan
It is the major health insurance plan for the individuals and families. If you're looking for the comprehensive and long term health insurance coverages for yourself and your family members that are sixty two yrs old or younger, then it is the plan to select.

Medical Discount Plans
ideal for those people who can not afford or qualify for the traditional health insurance. The providers offer the discounted health services for the quite low monthly fee. The Benefits contain a range of the discounts for dental, vision, prescriptions, doctors, hospitals, vitamins, and other health services.

Short Term Medical Plan
This plan is best for the individuals in transition. Maybe you just have graduated from the college and are no longer covered under the student health insurance or maybe you just moved out on your own, and you are not covered under your parent's medical insurance plan anymore. Or maybe you are employed part-time, leaving your home for the first time, going to school,or even retire early. Perhaps you have found one new job, but the group health insurance plan of your new employer will not kick in until you have been with months.

It is a common situation that you met like many other persons,be patient, check the resource from here ?? WNW.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info ?? i found quite useful to solve my similar issues.
