Tricare is a secondary insurance if you're still working and covered by your employer's insurance. In the best scenario, your employer insurance will pay, then Tricare will pick up the difference. Like all government insurance programs, though, Tricare pays only the amount that they consider fair. If this MRI company charges way above the regional average, Tricare might not pay all of the rest.
After you retire and turn 65, Tricare becomes Tricare for Life and is a supplemental insurance to your primary Medicare.
