Go to ER, don't pay the bill and let the premiums of these so called conservatives skyrocket. As their premiums will keep increasing exponentially maybe then they will give up the idea of being anti health reform.

What happens if you have got insurance and get sick and dieing,
My brother was in the hospital dieing and Hillary Clinton got passed a bill health care for all,
it was in that bill that the hospitals paid one week,
Medicare they put him out after one week, I carried him back three times that day, they put him out every time and he died, SO MUCH FOR THE INSURANCE

People coming on here trying to defend the US system don't care about anyone else but themselves....until that is, it happens to them!!!

That is unfortunately the philosophy in the US, the denial is unbelievable!!! the fact that medical debt in the biggest cause of bankruptcy is in itself an insane scenario, and here's the best bit, the majority of those bankruptcies are the people that ARE insured!!!

You can max out very easily, if you are seriously ill more than once then you are in big trouble, worst of all this raises a red flag with the insurance companies and they have been known to just drop you like a stone even while you are laid there in hospital!!!

And it doesn't stop there, even if you want insurance you can't always get it, Prue-existing conditions will scare the crap out of them, simply because you are too much of a risk!!!

The insurance companies even pay their employees bonuses to successfully refute and turn down medical treatment!!!

Over the decades there have many attempts to bring about reform, the all powerful pharmaceuticals charging the US ten times more than any other nation on the planet for the same medications and the insurance companies who have done everything and anything to avoid this, they have politicians from both side, but more from the republicans well in their pocket, and it all comes down to one single thing....PROFIT!!!

Unfortunately where every other industrialized Nations See's basic good health care for all of its citizens as a priority, in the US it is not!!!

The insurance companies have spent millions trying to stop Obama, he has been met with the most ferocious opposition, the Republicans swore they would bring it and him down even before anything was on the table!!!

The right wing media do their bit in brainwashing people, telling them that all universal health care is a socialist ideal, pure basic common sense just doesn't come into it, they and the republicans go on about the need for real reform, what is so strange about this is that they never ever talked about real reform until Obama came along!!! they have had plenty of opportunities over the years, but not even in the best of times were they ever really interested!!!

Until the 2014 insurance exchange is available, you have to go to a community health clinic or county hospital which has an out-patient clinic and become a patient. They usually charge on a sliding scale.

Even a county hospital will charge you in the Emergency Room. What happens is that uninsured people get treated in the ER for an emergency one time, and they dint pay the bill, and the taxpayer pays it because the hospital bills Medicaid. You cannot get routine care in the Emergency Room.
