Default Aviation Insurance Question.?

How much do universities with aviation departments spend on average to insure their entire fleet of training aircraft annually?

All I can say is me and a buddy both own a T6. He does dual instruction in his and his insurance is almost $5000 more a year than mine and we've both got the same hull and liability coverage with the same broker and same underwriter.

In the USA, a school with about 20 training airplanes might pay anywhere from $100,000 to $500,000 per year depending on the age and type of planes they fly and how much liability coverage they need. Older 2-seaters cost quite bit less to insure than new 4 seaters or twins.

I can tell you it is alott!!Just for my one PA-28-180 Cherokee ( because I give flight instruction and allow students to solo in it) insurance is around $13K a year vs ~$1200 for just me and my partner. For Warbird: Any chance I could get a ride in the T-6? I have plane, will/can travel!Man-o-man , you are one fortunate pilot to have one of these REAL airplanes!
